MINI SYNOD 2015 ENDED LAST SUNDAY

The Diocesan Pastoral Leaders’ Seminar (Mini Synod) came to a successful end last Sunday at the St. George Catholic Cathedral, Koforidua.

The Mass for the climax of the Mini synod was presided over by Most Rev. Alfred Agyenta, Bishop of Navrongo-Bolgatanga. He was the Special guest for the Mini Synod and was fully involved in all the sittings.

Most Rev. Joseph Afrifah-Agyekum, Bishop of Koforidua, Rev. Msgr. Francis Twum-Barimah, The Vicar General, Very Rev. Fr. Justin Mensah, Very Rev. Fr. Felix Davordzi, Rev. Fr. Joseph Asumadu and Rev. Fr. Augustine William Asante were in attendance as concelebrating priests.

In his homily, Bishop Agyenta stressed on the importance of the Mercy of God for humanity. It is the love of God which is stronger than our sinful ways and frailties.

The Climax for the Mini Synod was an opportune time to launch the maiden edition of the Newsletter of the Catholic Diocese of Koforidua. The Newsletter Lumen Christi is a dream come true for the Diocese of Koforidua. The Chief Editor, Rev. Fr. Joseph Asumadu is encouraging all to contribute to making Lumen Christi a better Newsletter by way of sponsorship, articles, suggestions, constructive criticism and reading. All are reminded that Lumen Christi will be out every quarter. A copy goes for Gh.c 2.00 only.
