WHO WE ARE:
Holy Trinity Parish is a catholic community of God’s people, called by Baptism and by Faith in Jesus Christ to live for God and others under the guidance of the Holy Spirit.

There are 18 stations forming the Parish which is within the Lower ManyaKrobo Municipality and Asuogyman District Assembly with the Parish Centre at Agomanya.

Currently, there are three Priests taking care of the Parish. They are;

There are also two retired Priests residing within the Parish who offer pastoral services to the Parish. They are;

GOAL OF THE PARISH:
The goal of the Holy Trinity Parish is to evangelize to win more Souls for Christ and strengthen the faith of her members through proclamation of the Gospel, teachings of the Church, education programmes, addressing the spiritual needs of the parishioners and designing programmes for different age categories in the Church to suit their needs.

An empowered community of Christ Faithful who are not only church attendants but participate in the evangelizing mission of the church where each member feels a sense of belongingness.

BRIEF HISTORY OF HOLY TRINITY CATHOLIC CHURCH, AGOMANYA
The Catholic community started in Agomanya in early 1939. On 3rd May 1939 Holy Mass was celebrated for the first time in Odumase in a temporary shed before the ManyaKlo Paramount Chief. The celebrant was Rev. Fr. A. J. Elsbernd SVD.
On 14th December, 1939, Fr. Elsbernd celebrated a second Mass in a thatched swish hut at Agomanya.
On the Solemnity of Pentecost 28th May, 1944 the Holy Trinity Catholic Church was inaugurated as a Parish by Rev. Fr. Joseph Oliver Bowers SVD.

The nucleus of Catholicism at Agomanya was Heinrich KuenyodunuAidam. Mr. Aidam, an Anlo Ewe, came to Krobo about 1924 as a businessman. From the time of his coming up to 1938, he and his family together with a few Ewe friends formed a small Catholic community to practice their faith. Some of these friends were Mathias Nartey, George Diogo and Daniel Dosavi. It was from this little community that Catholic evangelization of the Krobo sprang up. Early in 1939 Mr. Aidam invited Rev. Fr. A. Elsbernd SVD from Koforidua to visit his community at Agomanya.

The earliest Krobo converts who joined Aidam and his Ewe friends to nurse Catholicism were C. G. A. Opata, P. E. V. Dawutey and S. K. Angmor. These men with their families had been Anglicans. With these indigenous converts, and shepherd by SVD missionaries, Catholic evangelization went on steadily and outstations accompanied by elementary schools sprung up in a number of villages in both upper and lower Krobo.

The reigning Konor of ManyaKlo, Oklemekuku Nene Azu Mate Korle II was the most auspicious human factor in Catholic evangelization in Kroboland. This fulfilled an age-old principle upheld by the early missionaries, namely, “if you win the chief, you win the people”. Another principle upheld by these goes side by side with serving their material needs. These two principles certainly favoured the spread of the Catholic faith in Kroboland. Oklemekuku’s support for the Catholic faith deepened and before long he became a Catholic and remained devoted to the Catholic faith to the end of his days.

Agomanya Holy Trinity Parish in time gave birth to two other Parishes St. Augustine, Asesewa, and Our Lady of Lourdes, Osonson and Holy Family Quasi-Parish Akuse.
