Priests and their Parish Secretaries are undergoing a training session on a new Parish Accounting Software and Parish Registration Database software introduced by the diocese to facilitate financial accounts and collection of data on parishioners in the parishes. The training session commenced from Monday 17th March, 2014, and is scheduled to end by Monday 24th March, 2014 at the Diocesan Pastoral and Training Centre, Koforidua. The session is being attended on Deanery basis, with each of the five deaneries taking turns on a daily schedule.
The bishop, Most Rev. Joseph Afrifah-Agyekum was at the first session organised for the Koforidua Deanery of the diocese. So far, the sessions have been successful and enriching. It is hoped that parishes would make good use of the software to enhance parish administration.
